About Us

Hi, I’m Anna Marie, and I’m a Karen Pryor Academy Certified Training Partner (certification #67987). I have a passion for pet dog guardians who are struggling to enjoy life to the fullest with their dogs. I believe that having a dog is supposed to be fun, and using the most up-to-date, evidence-based training methods is the best way to set you both up for success!

My love of rewards-based training started several years ago in the horse world. After purchasing my first horse, I was dissatisfied with the outdated, punishment-based methods that I had been taught to use for many years. I branched out on my own to find a kinder way to train and stumbled upon clicker training. When I saw how quickly she progressed into a more confident, enthusiastic, and trusting animal, I was hooked!

I have since branched out into the dog world, successfully completing the Karen Pryor Academy Dog Trainer Professional program and the Aggression in Dogs Master Course while working and learning in the veterinary world as a vet assistant. I have had the opportunity to work closely with numerous behaviour cases at the clinic, which has fueled my fire to bring both the training and veterinary worlds together. I believe in a holistic, welfare-centered approach towards training and behaviour modification which includes consideration for the physical and mental wellbeing of every animal as the first step towards success.
